Brand Affinity Technologies
BAT Talent includes athletes & celebrities.  Over the last year, BAT has signed more than 3,000 top athletes, and more than 45 premier sports agencies to the BAT Platform, representing every major professional sport in the U.S.  BAT’s initial efforts have been mostly concentrated on the high affinity celebrity athletes, and will continue to expand over the coming year to include additional musician and entertainment celebrity Talent.
Today, BAT-enabled ads are only available online.  We recognize the potential demand to expand into other forms of media in the future and frequently assess our clients’ needs.
  1. The BAT Platform gives you access to thousands of national and locally recognized individuals, and the tools to quickly filter through this long Talent list and find the best Talent matches for your campaigns.   The factors most advertisers use to determine the right fit are:  geography, BAT affinity rank (a measure of an individual’s local or national consumer appeal), CPM rate, and aesthetic compatibility.
  2. After making your Talent selection(s), BAT’s Platform automatically generates an offer to the Talent you’ve chosen and his/her agent.  BAT allows a 96 hour window for Talent to accept or reject advertiser offers, but most Talent reply back within the first 24 hours.
  3. Once your Talent offer is accepted, you can download fully rights-managed, ad-ready, high definition photo & video assets from BAT’s Platform to use in your ad creative.  BAT is happy to make creative development or production referrals upon request.
  4. Once the creative is complete, it gets uploaded into the Platform and sent to the Talent for a quick review.  Most Talent return creative approvals within 24 hours.  After 96 hours, the creative is deemed approved if no comments have been made.  From there, BAT serves your campaign either directly onto publisher sites or via 3rd party AMS integration, depending on your preference.
  5. Once the campaign is live, BAT provides full tracking and reporting and allows for Talent optimization mid-campaign if desired.
BAT endorsement Talent is priced on a pay-for-what-you-use, CPM basis.  The Talent CPM is based on affinity rank and can be viewed in his/her BAT Platform Profile.
BAT-enabled campaigns can run on most any Web site.  In some cases, BAT may require that a Web publisher obtain pre-approval based on its Web site content.
BAT has unique relationships with preferred publishers that are leaders in the online marketplace for bringing new and innovative opportunities to maximize the value of advertisers’ online advertising.  Advertisers working with a BAT preferred publisher can expect additional benefits such as preferred packaging, pricing and promotion.
BAT tracks all BAT-enabled campaigns to ensure impressions are properly distributed and playing through on schedule.  Additionally, BAT measures standard performance data so that you can cross reference metrics with your ad management system reporting.  BAT is compatible with all major AMS systems.
“YES.”  BAT-enabling your campaign is both a creative AND a media decision.  While adding Talent to your campaign certainly impacts the creative, it is also a decision to be smart & efficient in your media buys.  As our research shows, BAT-enabling your campaign dramatically increases its brand impact and effectiveness through increased ROI.  In fact, BAT-enabled beta campaigns averaged 13.5 times that of advertisers’ typical conversion rates and 3.5 times their typical click-through rates.
With over 3,000 active Talent in BAT’s Platform, you can achieve reach to the Top 50 DMAs as well as most demo and lifestyle audiences.  If you do not see the name of someone specific you’d like to use in an online campaign, please inquire with your BAT representative so that we can reach out to him/her for inclusion.  As the Talent database grows (almost daily) the Platform is updated in real-time.
Yes.  Exclusive pricing is negotiated on a case-by-case basis.  Contact BAT or your BAT representative to discuss your objectives.
Talent profiles are updated in BAT’s Platform to reflect most competitive restrictions.  In the event that a Profile has not been updated and a competitive restriction exists, BAT will notify you so not to slow down campaign planning.
BAT provides a wide selection of licensed and ad-ready, high definition still images (.jpeg) and video clips (.mov).  There is an asset tray within each Talent’s profile (tab labeled “Assets”) that contains this media.  If you do not see assets within a specific Talent’s profile, please contact BAT to request them directly.
